MUSCAT : “The latest satellite images and analyzes of the National Multi Hazard Early Warning System show the classification of the tropical situation into a first-class tropical cyclone centered in the northern Arabian Sea at latitude 20.8 and longitude 67.0 east.
The hurricane center is about 770 km off the coast of the Sultanate of Oman, and it is moving north towards the Indian-Pakistani coasts, with no direct effects on the atmosphere of the Sultanate of Oman, and it is expected that the tropical state will cross on Thursday, June 15, 2023, over the areas extending between the Indian coasts (Gujarat) and the Pakistani coasts (Karachi),” stated the report.
