Muscat: Rains accompanied by active downward winds are expected over Al Hajar Mountains and the neighboring areas during the next three days.
The Omani meteorology revealed the weather forecast during the next three days, where convective clouds will be active with chances of rain of varying intensity and thunderstorms at times (accompanied by active downward winds) over the Al Hajar Mountains and neighboring areas during the afternoon and evening.
It is expected that there will be chances of low clouds forming on the coastal areas overlooking the Sea of Oman, leading to scattered light rain and the formation of low clouds (fog) on parts of the coastal areas overlooking the Arabian Sea on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Sea waves will rise at the coasts of the Sea of Oman and the coasts of Musandam Governorate in the evening on Sunday and Monday, it is like to reach a maximum height of 1.5-2.0 metres, and the waves will be medium – rough on the coasts of the Arabian Sea, 2.5 metres. There are chances of dust storms in parts of the governorates of Al Dhahirah, Al Wusta and Dhofar on Monday.
