Indian School Al Maabela celebrates 77th Independence Day

The 77th Indian Independence Day was celebrated dutifully with fervor and enthusiasm.
Mrs. Mahalakshmi Ramgopal, Deputy Chairperson-Finance and Planning and Sports & Co-curricular, SMC, ISAM graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Mohammed Rafiq, Chairperson- Building & Infrastructure, Deputy Chairperson-Health & Safety, SMC, ISAM, joined in the celebrations. The program started at 8 a.m. with the National Anthem of India being sung in unison. The national anthem resonated through the air, invoking a sense of unity among the diverse crowd that had gathered. This was followed by the prayer song by the school choir.

The Chief Guest was given a guard of honour by the contingents of ISAM, consisting of Senior School students, with their disciplined March Past. The Chief Guest in her speech emphasized on the need for the young generation to be focused in life and to have a vision. She encouraged the students to come out of their comfort zones, and to take efforts for the general benefit of the whole nation. She also spoke about the tremendous growth achieved by the Indians in the field of Space Science, technology, etc. after independence. Principal, Mr. P Prabakaran, in his address, wished the students and pointed out the important features of NEP 2020, which heralds the potential growth of Indian students in skill and vocational training.

Other events included the Independence Day speech delivered by Miss Aayushi Mayur, Head Girl-Middle School, portraying the sacrifice and struggle made by the Indian freedom fighters. The speech also mentioned about the responsibilities that freedom demands. The cultural extravaganza unfolded, showcasing the tapestry of India’s cultural diversity. The dance performance by the middle and primary students, highlighting the unity that thrives within the country’s diversity, mesmerized the audience. The next event included the Patriotic Song with Dance Live Performance accompanied by live rhythm orchestra, evoking a deep sense of appreciation for the nation’s artistic roots.

The occasion also witnessed the Inauguration of the newly constructed Kindergarten block and classes by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Mahalakshmi Ramgopal along with Mr. Mohammed Rafiq. The event concluded on a brighter note reflecting the nation’s rich heritage and its aspirations for a brighter future.
