MUSCAT – Organised under the theme of ‘Establishing a semiconductor ecosystem in Oman and the GCC to address future digitalisation growth’, ISES aims to discuss the global semiconductor ecosystem and semiconductor manufacturing challenges in the Middle East and North Africa. Addressing the Summit, H.E. Dr. Ali bin Amer Al Shaitani, Undersecretary for Communications and Information Technology, at the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technology, stated that hosting of the Summit, a first in the Middle East, confirms Oman’s firm determination to accomplish digital transformation and build an economy based on knowledge, technology and innovation.

“Semiconductors are the power of the future and the leadership of the global economy,” he affirmed. The two-day Summit will also assess investment opportunities in the field of information and communication technology in the Sultanate of Oman. ISES is where decision makers in semiconductor manufacturing connect to collaborate and share ideas in a trusted network.
