Muscat: On Thursday, 11th May 2023, Indian School Bousher organised the Investiture Ceremony marking the formation of a new Student Council. To scale the heights and reach the pinnacle of success, the school always strives to inculcate a sense of commitment and responsibility among the students with their heads held high as the future leaders. The investiture ceremony was held to induct the newly appointed Student Council for the academic year 2023 – 2024.
The Investiture Ceremony was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest His Highness Al-Sayyid Hamoud Bin Sultan Al Sammar Al Busaidi and the Guest of Honour Mr Khalid Zayid Mohamed Al Hinai.
Mr Shanmugam Purushottaman, The President, School Management Committee, Dr Vinod Kumar, Chairperson, HR Sub-Committee, SMC, Dr. Sayed Fazlur Ahmed, Chairperson, Sports and Co-currciular Sub-Committee, SMC, Mr Rakesh Singh Tomar, Principal, Ms Ambika Padmanabhan, Vice Principal were present at the grand ceremony.


The ceremony started with the welcome address of the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, followed by the lighting of the lamp. The Student Council members were then conferred with the badges and the sashes.
The Principal administered the oath to the Student Council to serve the school and the student community they represent with utmost loyalty and sincerity. He addressed them with his invigorating message, “It’s choice, not chance, that will determine our leadership, citing the example of Student Council Members where they self-nominated and underwent a rigorous process of selection before campaigning and election. And so, they have become leaders by choice.”
The Chief Guest congratulated the newly invested Student Council members.
The President, School Management Committee, Mr. Shanmugham Purushotham felicitated the Chief guest and The Principal, Mr Rakesh Singh Tomar, felicitated the Guest of Honour as a token of heartfelt appreciation.
The talented Bousherians impressed the audience with their splendid music and dance performances.
The ceremonial event was wrapped up with a note of gratitude from the Vice Principal, Ms. Ambika Padmanabhan.
Leadership training sessions are on the cards for these Student Council Members from Indian School Bousher to sharpen their leadership and management skills as they take baby steps into being the future leaders of this world.
