Muscat – The Hay Al Sahel tourism project is considered as one of the vital projects of Al Madina Real Estate Company; it isthe first integrated tourism project in the Wilayat of Quriyat, in the Muscat Governorate, under a free-ownership system with permanent residence for foreigners.
Eng. Abdullah bin Salem Al Shuaili, a member of the Board of Directors of Quriyat Development Company, explained that the Hay Al Sahel neighborhood project is an added value to the tourism sector; it is an integrated tourism project that is being built on an area of more than 1.3 million square meters.
He stated that the project would contribute to reviving tourism and economic activities in the Sultanate of Oman in general and the Wilayat of Qurayyat in particular, as the project comes within the framework of implementing the Omani strategy for tourism in line with the Sultanate’s Oman Vision 2040 plan to diversify.

He pointed out that the cost of the project, upon completion of its three phases, is estimated at about OMR 385 million (one billion US dollars), as it will provide about 3,000 housing units for ownership by all nationalities.
The project will include 3 hotels, which will provide about 750 rooms; it will also comprise of a commercial boulevard walkway extending over an area of more than 1 and a half kilometers; it will offer commercial facilities such as cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. The project also features a golf course and water park.
