Muscat Municipality participates in ‘Plants Carnival’

MUSCAT: The Nabatat Carnival will be held at OCEC from February 23 to 26, bringing together farmers, green houses and plant enthusiast to showcase their product and exchange knowledge and expertise in agriculture and farming. It will host 35 stores specialised in farming and gardening.

Muscat Municipality’s participation will feature specialists and horticulturists, as well as nursery shops from within the country. It will introduce the local community to different types of plants, their benefits, methods of caring for them, and their positive effect on the environment as a result of home cultivation.

The participation of Muscat Municipality, like other participating institutions, comes with the aim of exchanging experiences, reviewing roles and specializations, and presenting products and important practical knowledge related to the world of nature and plants.

It will also conduct several short workshops that will discuss topics related to home farming affairs, thus serving as an opportunity to get acquainted with leading companies in the world of plants. This will also be an opportunity to present producers, brand owners and other plant lovers and individual buyers, as well as people with a passion for plants, social media influencers, and other key representatives from the agricultural sector.

As part of its programme for the Carnival, Muscat Municipality will allocate a number of activities for visitors, including educational and applied workshops, an exhibition of photos of the most important views of gardens and parks, and distribute seedlings and various plants for visitors. It will also include a brief presentation of the municipality’s role in afforestation and the establishment of parks.
