Cairo: Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, affirmed that communication and cooperation between media professionals of the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt is important to know about the development in the two brotherly countries, and to promote joint visions aimed at consolidating the message of integration and spreading awareness.
During his meeting with a number of senior writers, editors-in-chief of Egyptian newspapers and intellectuals in Cairo, the minister said that the bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Egypt in the field of media are of great, specially because they are old and renewable relations and developing day after day.
His Excellency added that the Arab Republic of Egypt had a very important role in the various stages of the development of the Omani media, and many Egyptian writers continue to provide the Omani press with articles and deep insights in various fields of knowledge.
His Excellency indicated that the goal now is to support those relations to higher levels and to create communication between the new generations of media professionals in the two countries, especially in view of the new developments in the field of media in terms of the entry of new technologies and modern means of communication that they will create new forms of joint media work.
His Excellency affirmed that Oman’s presence in the Egyptian press is strong and positive, and we look at it with deep interest and always strive to develop it, and that the Omani media is following the developments in the Egyptian arena from a comprehensive and large development process led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, with a deep-rooted vision.
