NEW DELHI : Oman’s delegation to the meeting was headed by H.E. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad AlBusaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was held within the framework of India’s G20 presidency, which invited the Sultanate of Oman as a guest of honor.

During the meeting, His Excellency touched on Oman’s viewpoint on peacemaking – with its guiding principles rooted in more than a thousand years of practical experience in sharing the waters of falaj – reflecting the values of dialogue, tolerance, non-interference and good neighborliness.
His Excellency indicated the importance of taking into account the concerns of the countries in the south and expressed his confidence that the intensive multilateral participation could focus on addressing crises facing the countries of the world in terms of supply chain disturbances, debt distress, political issues, and challenges related to climate change.
The meetings were attended by H.E. Ambassador Issa bin Saleh Al Shaibani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman accredited to India, H.E. Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation Advisor at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the main coordinator of the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in the G20 meetings, and H.E. Ambassador Khalid bin Hashel Al Muslehi, Head of Office Department Minister, as well as a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
