Oman sees over 50% rise in revenues

MUSCAT: The state’s general budget achieved a financial surplus at the end of July 2022, amounting to over OMR 1 billion compared to recording a financial deficit in the same period in 2021.

The financial performance bulletin issued by the Ministry of Finance indicated an increase in the state’s public revenues until the end of July 2022 by 53.5 percent, recording about OMR 8.3billion, compared to the same period in 2021.

Public spending until the end of July 2022 also increased by 8.8%, recording over OMR 6 billion, compared to the actual spending for the same period in 2021.
