Oman showcases future city projects at Gulf Housing Week in Qatar

DOHA: Representatives from Oman, led by His Excellency Eng. Hamad bin Ali Al Nazwani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for Housing, participated actively in the Gulf Housing Week. Among the key projects highlighted were Sultan Haitham City, the Oman Mountain Front Project, the Al Khuwair Project, Downtown developments, and integrated residential neighbourhoods initiatives.

One of the focal points during the week was a dialogue session titled “Humanizing National Housing Projects,” where senior housing officials from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries delved into crucial topics. The session emphasized the need to measure the human aspects of housing projects, including community interaction, satisfaction rates, and the social impact of these initiatives.

In parallel, the Committee of Senior Housing Officials from GCC countries convened to prepare for the 22nd meeting of Housing Ministers. Discussions revolved around the outcomes of the Gulf Housing Action Plan for 2024-2030, reflecting a concerted effort towards strategic housing development across the region.
