Oman Vision 2040 unit meets to strengthen collaboration with governors

Muscat: Led by His Excellency Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, the meeting showcased the unit’s core competencies and methodologies deployed to monitor the vision’s execution, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach.

Among the highlights was unveiling the Entity Indicators Project, a collaborative initiative with government bodies to delineate roles in fulfilling “Oman Vision 2040” objectives. Noteworthy achievements include the approval of 55 goal cards and the successful development of governorate-specific cards, marking significant progress in strategic planning.

The session underscored a commitment to streamlining procedures, enhancing service accessibility, and upholding quality standards across public services. Emphasis was placed on fostering innovation, excellence, and total quality management within government agencies, aligning with global best practices.

In a statement, His Excellency Dr Munther bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Deputy Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, emphasized the unit’s pivotal role in driving progress and underscored the importance of governors’ involvement in strategic planning and goal attainment at the regional level.

Additionally, His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi, highlighted ongoing collaborations and projects to enhance infrastructure, service delivery, and economic opportunities within the governorate.

Similarly, His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Badr Al-Maawali, Governor of South Al Sharqiyah, reaffirmed the commitment to decentralized governance, emphasizing continuous cooperation, communication, and integration efforts across government entities and local communities.
