Oman’s dual zipline registered in Guinness Book of Records

MUSCAT : The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism launched the grand ‘Musandam Carnival’, and officially opened the dual zipline, yesterday.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidy, Governor of Musandam, in the presence of Eng. Mohammad bin Salim Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Omran Group, and a number of officials from the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, sheikhs and dignitaries of the region, and representatives of the Guinness Book of Records.

Unfolding at Bassa Beach in the Wilayat of Khasab, the Carnival, featuring a wide range of activities and programs, has been organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, in cooperation with the Office of the Governor of Musandam and the Omran Group, and with the participation of a number of government and private agencies.

The zipline project is the first of the activities and one of the main components of the Oman Adventures Centre, as the center will act as an integrated platform to provide interesting and enjoyable tourism experiences for adventure tourism enthusiasts visiting the Musandam Governorate.
