MUSCAT: The alert from Environment Authority reads as follows: ‘Based on the Natural Reserves and Wildlife Conservation Law issued by Royal Decree No. 6/2003 to establish the Khor Kharfot Archaeological Reserve in the Dhofar Governorate, and pursuant to the Royal Decree No. 58/2021, we draw everyone’s attention that entering the reserve without a prior permit is a legal violation punishable by law.’
It noted that permits to enter the reserve are granted for those wishing to do so by the Directorate General of Environment in Dhofar Governorate, as per special conditions.
