MUSCAT : The Ministry of Energy and Minerals signed the agreement with Knights Bay Company for a concession right in Mining Zone No. 21, located in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, to extract nickel ore.

The Director General of the General Directorate of Investment at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals said the agreement is the first mining agreement with a foreign investor, and the initial investments related to the exploration and evaluation phase are estimated at about 25 to 30 million US dollars in the first three years.
