Muscat – The Ministry announced that three governorates have been chosen for best development project proposals, which will be implemented in coordination between the government and the private sector.
The chosen proposals are the Boulevard Spray project in Dhofar Governorate, Ames Bay Development project in Musandam Governorate and the Remal Park project in Al Batinah Governorate.
The Boulevard Spray project will be implemented at a cost of OMR 40 million in Salalah’s Itin. The project, expected to be complete in four years, will cover 470,000 square meters, and will feature fountains, restaurants, botanical garden, suspended walkways, theaters, shopping area, event space, exhibitions, etc.
The project aims to create an integrated entertainment venue for all local and international community groups in accordance with the customs and traditions of Oman. It aims to activate the role of institutions and society to promote local tourism.

The OMR 6.9 million Ames Bay Development in the Musandam Governorate, scheduled to be complete in less than two years, will provide strategic link between the various regions of Musandam Governorate; it will develop infrastructure, stimulate tourism and create new investment opportunities in the governorate.
The Remal Park project in Al Batinah Expressway, overlooking Wadi Abyadh, is expected to be ready in two years. Costing OMR 6.9 million, the project aims to develop sustainable tourism and open direct and indirect job opportunities; it will employ small and medium-sized companies, thereby achieving In-Country Value.

It will include amusement park, cable car, resort, food truck and retail center, among others.
The Ministry stated that the projects are in line with the royal directives that all units of the state’s administrative apparatus should coordinate with the governorates in all matters related to the affairs of their governorates.
