
MUSCAT : The Ministry called on violators to address and correct their situation, by handing over to the Department of Geological Heritage at the General Directorate of Museums any samples of geological heritage in their possession. It warned the public not to possess, survey, examine or transfer any component of the geological heritage, in accordance with the provisions of the Cultural Heritage Law issued by Royal Decree No. 35/2019.
The ministry added that some institutions examine suspected samples without obtaining a prior written permit from them.
