MUSCAT: Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has decided to withdraw from two major road projects after the contractors assigned to execute the work failed to make any progress.
In a statement issued, the Ministry said it has withdrawn from the Al Sharqiyah Expressway and Adam Haima Thumrait dualisation projects. The Ministry said it will soon assign new contractors to complete the projects.
“This is due to the failure on the part of the contractor to make headway in implementing the project. The remaining works will soon be assigned to another contractor,” the Ministry said.
