MUSCAT : As per the announcement, TRA will stop approving and importing telecommunications devices that only work on the third generation network. It specified the requirement that imported communication devices should support minimum 4G network.
It also stated that the 3G stations will be upgraded to fourth or fifth generation before suspension of 3G services
The Authority also urged institutions and individuals to upgrade their devices to support modern technologies, to keep pace with the acceleration and technological development.
