Ooredoo Oman network disrupted, working to restore service, says company

MUSCAT: Oman’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) said Ooredoo subscribers in the country are facing network issues on their mobile and home internet.
In a statement issued, TRA said Ooredoo services have been disrupted due to a cut in its fiber optic network.
Several users complained about not being able to make outgoing calls or receive incoming calls on their handsets or even use the internet.
“Suddenly, I couldn’t make any calls and my internet stopped working,” said Mohammed Hashim, a resident in Al Khuwair.
Meanwhile, Ooredoo Oman issued an official statement confirming the disruption of services. “Some of our customers are having difficulty using home internet and voice calls due to a technical failure beyond our control. We inform you that technicians are working to fix it and to restore the service as soon as possible,” Ooredoo Oman added.
