MUSCAT – The new service was launched at a workshop held yesterday with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Commerce Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, OPAZ, Sohar Free Zone and several others from related industries.
As per the automatic licenses approval service, prospective investors can get licenses in five minutes, with approvals on the same day, if requirements are met. OPAZ has issued an announcement to state that licenses can be applied in 4 easy steps through invest easy (www.investeasy.gov.om): select the activity and the location, fill the application form and attach required documents, pay the fee and get your license.
OPAZ also stated that the launch of the service is part of its efforts to harmonize and integrate special, free and industrial zones and central national system and solutions, in order to encourage sustainable plans to develop investment through digital transformation. ‘This step will further position Oman as an attractive hub for business growth across a multitude of sectors,’ it stated.
