OQ Innovation Lab unveiled in Salalah, empowering future innovators

MUSCAT : The inauguration ceremony, graced by His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and attended by Her Excellency Dr Rahma bint Ibrahim bin Said Al Mahrouqiyah, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, highlighted the collaborative effort between public and private sectors to foster a culture of innovation in Oman.

Dr. Saeed bin Masoud Kashoub, Director of the Vocational College in Salalah, emphasized the laboratory’s role in providing a conducive environment for students to refine their ideas and skills, particularly in artificial intelligence, robotics, simulation, and 3D printing technologies. This initiative aligns with Oman’s Vision 2040 and national strategies for innovation, research, and development, aiming to enhance the nation’s capabilities in science and technology.

The lab’s doors are open to college and school students, the broader educational community, and local residents, inviting them to explore and utilize its resources in line with Oman’s innovation agenda.
