Muscat – In response to public enquiries on social media platforms, the SPF issued a notice online to answer the following frequently asked question: ‘Will the monetary benefits of social protection be financed through the contributions of workers and employees?’
Explaining the procedure, SPF stated, “No, the cash benefits of social protection are fully funded by the state’s public treasury, and the contributions of the insured in social insurance programs cannot be used to pay the cash benefits.”
