Pay wages within 7 days of the due period, says Oman’s Labour Ministry

MUSCAT : The Ministry of Labour called on establishments to heed the Labour Law and remit salaries on time. It also stated that the employee may file a labour complaint in the event that the establishment fails to pay the wages within the specified period.

In a statement issued to highlight the Labour Law and address the question related to specific monthly date for salary transfer, the Ministry stated that employers are obliged to pay salaries within seven days from the end of the pay period, and that failure to comply with this regulation is considered a breach.
