SeaPride to build OMR 18 million fish processing and canning factory in Oman

MUSCAT: SeaPride Integrated Fisheries Company (SIFCO) celebrated the foundation ceremony of its cutting-edge fish processing and canning factory in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD).

The facility which is being built on a total investment of OMR 18 million is set to become Oman’s premium fish processing and canning company, promising to revolutionize the seafood industry.

The construction of the facility which is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 will mark a significant milestone in Oman’s economic development.

Mohamed Ameen, Managing Partner of SIFCO, expressed his excitement at the ceremony: “Today, we embark on a transformative journey in partnership with Mr Juma Mohamed Khamis Al Farsi. Our investment of OMR 18 million underscores our commitment to excellence in every aspect of our operations. We aim to redefine the seafood industry in Oman and beyond”.

The choice of SEZAD as the project’s location underscores the strategic advantages it offers, facilitating efficient raw material sourcing and global product distribution. “This decision reflects SIFCO’s dedication to achieving international excellence. SIFCO’s core mission is to set new industry benchmarks in quality, efficiency, and sustainability through the use of cutting-edge machinery and equipment.
