MUSCAT : The Ministry of Health announced the introduction of BMD facility at the Sohar Hospital to raise the quality of diagnostic services provided to patients. The facility will be offered within the new extension of the Hospital.
BMD, also known as dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is an x-ray examination that is used to measure bone loss. It is commonly used to diagnose osteoporosis, which causes loss of bone tissues.
