Thousands flock to Oman mosques to mark Eid Al Fitr

MUSCAT: Thousands of citizens and headed to mosques on Saturday morning to mark the first day of Eid Al Fitr, before enjoying the holiday with their families and friends.

Mosques in Muscat conducted Eid prayers at 6:25am. People wore their best outfits to begin their day with prayers and exchange Eid greetings with those around them.

“We are delighted and I want to wish all my brothers Eid Mubarak. It’s a time of celebration, and we are excited to indulge in the festive preparations,” said Mubarak Hamdoon an expat residing in Muscat.

On Friday evening, shopping malls and souqs witnessed heavy rush with people flocking to purchase clothes, sweets, and other festive items, eager to celebrate Eid with their loved ones.
