1. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas elected OCCI Chairman
Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas elected as the Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) for the period 2022-2026.
According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Rawas won the chairmanship of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period 2022-2026 and Rashid bin Amer Al-Muslehi won the position of First Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period 2022-2026.
2. Drug smuggling operation busted in Oman
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has foiled an attempt to smuggle quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances through Muscat International Airport by two foreigners.
The Royal Oman Police arrested two people while trying to smuggle quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances through Muscat International Airport after hiding them in a set of shoes. The legal procedures are being completed against them.
