Muscat: Haitham bin Muhammad Al-Ghassani, the Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, highlighted the concerted efforts to create tailored accommodation packages for various occasions, including Eid al-Fitr. These packages, designed with your comfort and luxury in mind, encompass dining experiences, recreational activities for all ages, and opportunities for relaxation in health centres, catering to a spectrum of preferences ranging from tranquillity seekers to adventure enthusiasts.

Statistics from the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism underscore the substantial growth in Oman’s hotel infrastructure. By the end of 2023, the country boasted 813 establishments with 32,821 hotel rooms, showcasing a significant increase from previous years. The range of accommodations spans from luxurious 5-star hotels to unique experiences like camping in scenic locales and staying at heritage inns, offering a holistic immersion into Oman’s diverse landscapes and cultural heritage.

Dr Al-Mu’tasem bin Nasser Al-Hilali, Director of the Department of Heritage and Tourism in the South Al-Batinah Governorate, emphasized the region’s strategic allure, blending coastal splendour with majestic mountain vistas. This convergence makes it an ideal hub for various tourism facets, including heritage exploration, adventure sports, and beachside leisure activities. Notable attractions like Al Sawadi Beach and cultural landmarks add depth to the tourism tapestry of the region.

Similarly, Abdullah bin Rashid Al Hajri, Director of the Department of Heritage and Tourism in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, highlighted numerous offerings for tourists, from camping and wildlife encounters to historical explorations and water-based adventures.
