MUSCAT : As per the statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information, Oman’s fish exports to the GCC countries amounted to about 74,323.5 tons at the end of last year; the exports amounted to 2,372.9 tons to Europe, 18, 996.1 tons to America, and the total amount of exports to other countries amounted to 185,909.1 tons.
The Sultanate of Oman’s fish exports varied between fresh fish, which amounted to 64,545.2 tons, frozen fish with 200,763.6 tons, crustaceans and molluscs with 15,240.8 tons, while the total amount of other fish amounted to 1,521 tons.
