Winners of Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran competition announced

Muscat: The Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science (SQHCCS) today announced the winners of the 30th edition of Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition. The total number of contestants in the competition stood at 2,881.

In a press release, Habeeb Mohammed Al Riami, Head of SQHCCS said that the initial qualifiers, held in 25 centres across Oman’s governorates, saw strong competition.

The first level—the category of fully memorising the Holy Quran—was won by Faisal Mohammed Al Balushi from the centre of Sohar.

The second level—the category of memorising 24 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran—was won by Mohammed Said Al Ghamari from the centre of Quraiyat.

The third level—the category of memorising 18 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran—was won by Hajir Saleh Al Kindi from the centre of Nizwa.

The fourth level—the category of memorising 12 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran—was won by Ahmed Saif Al Muqaimi from the cente of Al Khuwair.

The fifth level—the category of memorising 6 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran—was won by Sarah Yousef Al Muhrizi from the centre of Ibra.

The sixth level—the category of memorising 4 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran—was won by Tasneem Salim Al Shibli from the centre of Ibra.

The seventh level—the category of memorising 2 consecutive parts of the Holy Quran—was won by Suhaib Hilal Al Siabi from the centre of Ibra.
