Oman rejoins Executive Council of Arab Civil Aviation Organization

MUSCAT : This was announced during the 28th regular session of the ACAO General Assembly, held in Rabat from July 3-4, 2024.

H.E. Eng. Nayef bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), highlighted Oman’s steadfast commitment to the principles and initiatives of the ACAO during his speech. He emphasized the Sultanate’s dedication to supporting measures that enhance joint Arab action for leadership in civil aviation.

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the CAA, also took part in the 69th meeting of the ACAO Executive Council, which convened in the Moroccan capital from July 1-2, 2024. This participation underscores Oman’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the progress of collaborative Arab initiatives across all areas of civil aviation.

On the sidelines of the General Assembly, the CAA signed a draft joint framework agreement with Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation. This agreement will govern air transport services between the two nations.
