Oman’s Foreign Minister attends GCC-US Strategic Partnership Meeting

MUSCAT : The Joint Ministerial Meeting of GCC-US Strategic Partnership was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Riyadh.

Discussions focused on enhancing Gulf-American relations and fostering cooperation in both political and economic spheres.

Attendees engaged in consultations and exchanged views on various regional and international issues of mutual concern. Both sides expressed a commitment to support efforts aimed at achieving peaceful solutions and settlements to crises, thereby promoting security and stability in the region.

Particular attention was given to the situation in the Gaza Strip, with an emphasis on the urgent need for a ceasefire. Furthermore, discussions revolved around finding a lasting and just resolution to the Palestinian issue, based on the principles of the two-state solution in accordance with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Accompanying H.E. Albusaidi were His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Sayyid Najeeb bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Deputy Head of the Department of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the Regional Neighborhood, along with several officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
